My son and nosebleed

My son just woke up this morning with a very bad nosebleed. It took half an hour before it stopped again. A lot of blood on the pillow. He has not been having a cold or any other explanation to give for the nosebleed and I am pretty sure I had visiters last night. Problely not a coincidence.
So are the back on him again.?
It has been years since last he had a nosebleed. Come to think of it the last time was around the same age my daughter has know. She is 5.
He also has started to have a lot of allergies recently. Are there a connection?
