I watched the video of Aurora Borealis in Finland. That is some beautiful time lapse photography. I have never actually seen the Aurora Borealis myself. Do you get to see it often where you are? That must give you a peaceful feeling to sit and watch it.

Hi Bonnie,
In northern parts Aurora Borealis are quite common and little less common in southern parts (due to it's nature to concentrate on magnetic poles). I usually see them during winter when it's mainly dark outside. Mostly why people don't see them here is because of city lights that mainly blocks out everything from night sky. Luckily I live in outside the city and able to enjoy wonderful night sky.

Usually where I live Aurora Borealis are quite faint and barely visible but few times a year we get a proper show. :)
